Best known for managing the MC5, founding the White Panther Party and waging legal battles in support of his War for Drugs, John Sinclair along with his wife Leni (check out her photographs at http://www.lenisinclair.com/) published some incredible mimeos out of Detroit. Whe're is a one-shot from their Artists' Workship Press in 1966. Edited along with Ron Caplan, Whe're is an incredible mag. Thick and juicy. In 1974, Gotham Book Mart re-printed Whe're along with the four issues of Work in a single volume. Mimeos such as Change, Work and Whe're are some of the best true mimeos of the Mimeo Revolution, and a crucial part of the Sinclairs' total assault on the culture.JB
