Gillian Whiteley emailed me asking for some Jeff Nuttall images and I am glad she did. She told me about her book Junk: Art and the Politics of Trash, which I bought immediately. Not surprisingly there is a chapter on California Junk and Funk but I was happy to see a chapter on the United Kingdom with some mention of Jeff Nuttall. The chapter on Australia was completely new to me. The theory surrounding trash is absolutely fascinating and it is clear that garbage is of major importance in 21st Century thought.JB
