No longer will you hear the dulcet tones of the Fugs coming out of 383 10th Street, former The Peace Eye Bookstore, like on the night of February 24, 1965, which was the world premiere of the band, the grand opening of Peace Eye, and the launch party for Mad Motherfucker Issue of Fuck You, a magazine of the arts. Before the bookstore it was a kosher butcher shop. The word "Strictly" in English in the window over the word Kosher in Yiddish linking back to the former business. Today it is the site of some apartments. By 1968, Peace Eye had moved to 147 Avenue A.

He is the author of over thirty books of poetry, fiction and autobiography, the Director of the MFA program in Creative Writing at Long Island University in Brooklyn, and as you’ll soon discover, so much more. Includes an introduction by Daniel Kane, an interview conducted by Steve Clay, 10 new stories, 5 new poems, dozens of photographs and collages, and an anecdotal bibliography.
