LANGUAGE: ENEMY, PURSUIT

When I was in Fort Collins last week I gave a short presentation on Asa Benveniste's Trigram Press to a well-packed room (a composing room, appropriately enough) opposite the (appropriately enough, fire engine red SP-15) Bonfire Press. Here's a picture of the cover of Asa's one and only published essay, Language: Enemy, Pursuit. It was printed and designed by Alastair Johnston of Poltroon Press in an edition of just 100 copies. Although we won't be able to reproduce the masterful printing and typography, we'll be bringing this essay back into print in the next issue of Mimeo Mimeo with a focus on the British Poetry Revival.
