Here is a great thread from Vacuumland, a network of Vacuum Collectors, on other odd collections that includes some great images of spirit duplicators, mimeographs, and stencils. There is a great scene in Naked Lunch where the kitchen appliances turn on a housewife. William Burroughs, of course, is forever linked to business machines through Burroughs Corporate and the adding machine. People have discussed the importance of the typewriter to Burroughs most notably (see the Iron Whim and Anthony Enns essay on Burroughs' Writing Machines in Re-Taking the Universe), but the same holds true with the mimeograph.
