Hinges (1965)

I am sure somebody has made this observation before, but Dick Gallup is the Zeppo of the Tulsa School. Zeppo only appeared in the first five Marx Brothers movies and then he dropped out of the picture. Gallup similarly left the poetry scene for about two decades before coming back to various selecteds and collecteds. Everybody knows and has read Ted, Ron and Joe, but Dick slips through the cracks. I am pretty sure Hinges, published by C Press in 1965 as Gallup was finishing college, is Gallup's first book of poems.
