It's a Beautiful Day

Douglas Woolf's Hypocritic Days looks to me as a companion piece to Creeley's The Gold Diggers. Same size and format. The cover to Hypocritic Days was done by Kitasono Katue. A year prior in 1954, Divers Press published Kitasono's Black Rain with four hand-set color illustrations, which makes this book one of the most lovely publications of the entire press. I enjoy the look of Hypocritic Days as well. A beautiful example of the Press's handiwork.
