Open Space reprinted this poem by Josephine Miles in 1967. The poem originally appeared in Atlantic Monthly. I do not think the scan does the color of the wrappers justice. Johnston singles this book out as an example of the later Mackintosh style, noting that it lacks the rush-to-print feel of the earlier publications. I tend to agree. There is a hardening of style into routine.
