Back to School

I'll be up at SUNY Buffalo on Wednesday November 18th to give a talk on mimeo.  My presentation will be on Jeff Nuttall, William Burroughs and My Own Mag.  College campuses have been breeding grounds for little magazines for quite some time.  Black Mountain Review, Big Table, New Departures, Sidewalk.  Those are just magazines that featured William Burroughs in the late 1950s.  All of them sprung out of the University setting.  Intrepid, edited by Allen De Loach, was a mimeo out of SUNY Buffalo that ran for over 40 issues.  Issue 14/15 is a landmark in Burroughs Studies.  This issue contain Eric Mottram's landmark study of Burroughs, The Algebra of Need.
